Hi just need some critiques on my portfolio . This porofolio is an very early start so there will be changes to the site. I just need some professional critiques on the art presentation right now.

    Nice clean site, good layout.
    I would remove the old clock and garage pillar as they just don't match the texture quality seen in your other assets. Also I would put the building as the first link as this is the most impressive.
    The actual presentation of the models could be alot cleaner, adding some subtle greyscale monotone borders with basic shadowing of the objects against a flat plane that blends in with the bg. More importantly there are no views of the textured uv's which employers need/want to see.     ps: I know it's freewebs but the google ads tend to ruin the feel of a portfolio.

    I remade one of the art layouts of the library. I put one wireframe in and the textures are now laid out. How does it look?

    Bumping is bad. People will comment if they feel they have to. Not like this forum moves really fast :)

    My main concern for the website is that there's a scrollbar (I'm running firefox) and there doesn't seem to be any reason at all for this.

    I've seen that alien cube somehwere else before. Hmm.

    The garage pillar is really unimpressive compared to everything else. Might want to work on replacing it.

    You seem to have contact info on every image but nowhere on the actual website?

    Yeah i'm gonna change the website real soon. It's not really finished yet. I just needed a comment of the prop layout i did above. Sorry about the bump though.

    Yeah I like your layout alot more, I would just play with the shapes, text and colour scheme a bit. I took the liberty of altering your design lib1zr6.jpg just an idea.

    Hey i was wondering im not good at coding a website. There's this online portfolio call viewbook. It looks real easy to set up and pretty slick., couldnt i use that as a portfolio instead?

    The building is the best piece so far. The environment stuff has uninspired imo. colors - they look pale and dont work well together. Try nailing it moer like the building where it is great

    I know i'm gonna get rid of the pillar and hall scene because they're look unfinished. I'm keeping the fountain and clock because im going put those two props in the Unreal Engine. I want to keep the Cube scene because i spent too much time on it. Those arent the only things that are going into my portfolio i have more work coming.

    building is looking really good. try adding some different window types in there to break it up. kinda boring with the same window repeating all the way around

    I'm thinking about sending off my resume to different companies now. Since then I've added more professional looking working. Just need people here to take another look at my folio before I send it out. Tell me if I need any changes, add more stuff, etc. I'm looking for all out criticism from everybody.

    The new pieces look like tutorial guided work but they look good I guess. The commercial renders section is confusing, the other ones have a theme or are related to 1 project. Maybe just name it Bank car and then strip the camera (which could use some work in terms of rendering and setup).
    I guess your name could be a bit bigger on the site and a contact or email button at the header would increase the chances of getting contacted. Your name and contact details should always be visible so one does not even have to start looking for it in some kind of hidden menu section.

    Well good luck for finding something, certainly rather tough times in the US right now.

    Thank you for the critique. I'll probably just scrap the commercial section all together then and leave just the game focused stuff. As for looking for work in US I am looking outside too. Canada looks promising.

    I know. I don't even think i'm going to use carbonmade. So I might hold off on sending anything for now until I get my own site up with the funds to do it. I just used Issac Oster template. I think i'm going to stick with that.
