bitmap: no date has been announced, so i cant say anything about that. I will say though, yes it will be on PC as well as 360 and PS3. Not having Wolf on PC would be a sin! :P
Thanks everybody! There are screenshots in the article, I think it's a 10pg spread(normal for covers on GI). It should be out already in some areas, or very soon.
The game takes place durring WW2 in an open city. All the games missions take place in the city and as you complete missions more of it will become available to explore. The games plot revolves around how Nazis have been dabbling in the occult and are drawing power from an alternate dimension known as the 'shroud'. The 'shroud' is an alternate version of the main city which the player will be able to enter. You play as 'BJ', a person with the ability to use supernatural powers. You wont necessarily be a one man army though, as their will be AI forces to assist you at various points.
since it's going to use Id tech 4 instead of 5 does that mean that it won't have gloss textures?
btw isn't it true that if you want a game to sell better then you have to pretend it will not be released on PC otherwise loads of people will think they can just easily get a pirated version of the game.
Should be interesting. RTCW was awesome, hope this one lives up to that.
I'm pretty sure it's using id Tech 4, not id Tech 5... and yes, ViPr, id Tech 4 supports gloss maps.
Also, looking forward to this game! I hadn't even considered the prospect of a new Wolf game, but I'm really excited now. The last one was just a really good fps, and Raven know what they're doing. I'm also in the category of people who managed to enjoy Quake 4 for what it was, so I'm hopeful.

Siiiiiiiiigh.
Congrats on the cover, Raven chaps, won't be playing it but I hope it is good.
I had the privilege of working with the Raven folks while Threewave did the multiplayer and seeing it FINALLY shown, is awesome. I am not sure what state the MP is now, but these screenshots of the SP do look sexy!
congrats guys on making the cover of GI . I walked into GameStop to buy a few extras when Aliens: Colonial Marines was featured on the cover in March issue.
Oh look at the wolfenstein guys getting so excited. Congrats guys. Games been looking awesome at work and finally letting the cover loose upon the world is a huge relief I am sure.
Oh noes, I played Wolfenstein and Enemy Territory multiplayer 'til I bled from the eyes. Looking forward to some more "shit, 4 in the morning! I'll just finish this round...."

I'd love to see Id Tech 5 with this, but I'm thinking it's going to be Id Tech 4 due to the time frame, no?
Edit: ...And info:

ahem, anyway; excited about the game, not impressed with those pictures, looking forward to e3 media to see if something catches my interest.
I've not seen them, but you are normally right. Youtube videos do the same for gameplay.
I loved the last Wolfenstein, so I'll be looking forward to this one.

Just saying the people bitch about games looking bad after watching a horribly compressed video on youtube.
edit: wait, you're just talking about 'gameplay' meaning ingame, as opposed to cinematics, right?
Nevermind
I am looking forward to seeing what you guys do and certainly hope the single player experience is great.
Thanks man!
Can't wait to see what people think when more stuff is released.
Good Luck? Um have you not played RTCW?
Nice troll post and I end it with that.
In all seriousness, good to see this finally announced!
