So, im making a little scene inspired by lots of games and movies and whatnot. So far i made a little block of the kitchen with some props i made. Still a lot to do, since im making all the hipolys first to avoid a Yo-Yo style of making a hi then a low then texture and doing this all over again. Instead i model all hi first and then all low and then texture them all. Makes more sense to do that, said EQ.
Anywho, here's what i have so far.
Click Pics for bigger pictures.
And the props so far.
Ok guys, so. im gonna take a break from this now, and try and start my facade comp, or else there wont be much time left for me.
I'll try and update this thread when i do new stuff:)
Thanks for watching.

Are you going to put Indy in the fridge?
i will! and if he doesnt kill with the explosion, i'll put him in the oven and cook him!
Reminds me of the background in the Heavy Rain short.
im using it as inspiration!
i guess this thread has been hijacked by me, since it has more stuff im making besides the kitchen.
As for the kitchen i dont have really an idea of what im doing, i just go with the flow. I plan to add a retro vibe to it, like its a kitchen appartment from today, but the dude that cooks in it, has a retro taste so he puts stuff from the 50's and whatnot. Gonna make a sweet dinner table and chairs and a retro radio on top of the fridge
a sink for the kitchen
I also have a bike project going on. Here are some pics.
Im gonna do the weldings on the bike based on this tutorial i made. The link is here: http://boards.polycount.net/showthread.php?t=54678
And also started a diner:
I made a test render of the diner just for kicks
Since the bottle cap is a wall clock you might want to splay out the crumpled parts so they fan around and are more visible on the wall.
nice work tho!
hehe, my bike is a grisley, it has like 12 years and it still rocks. i changed some parts over the years but it still rocks. Dont know if this brand still exists.
ahaha, im a lazy bastard aswell, or else i would have made my facade comp.
But serisouly its a clock... Might as well keep kicking ass on other things.
just realized that there is still a little piece missing some welds. anywho. i will weld it but no point in making some more pics for the bike.
This is looking good dude, keep it up. I like that test render.
Looking good man.
thanks guys!
Needs some canti-studs too
lol, thanks adam:)
badcog: yeah i think you are right. i believe the seat tube was longer before i exported it to zbrush. i think because of not having caps on the cilinder made that part ssmaller?
cause the original design is bigger, not that much, but still bigger.
Really admire your work...
got back on track today with some more stuff. err.. yeah.
Keep it up!
Also, the tea cup handle feels odd. Most of the handles I see, are like rope which are attached at each end to the cup, rather than a hole in a flat piece that is then attached. . . hope that makes sense.
did some more props.
my website has been updated with the new content and also i made a infos page which i didnt had.
yay!
also i played a little with rendering in modo, and rendered the napkin holder hipoly style.
click below. i dont post the pic cause its big.
http://edgesize.com/pics/render_napkin.jpg
thats all for now! yay
edit:
also: tumerboy. i used this pic as ref. but im not sure if i like the design anymore. :S we'll see. only gonna make a sugar holder and add a detail on the napkin holder and they are done.
YOUR BENDY STRAW ISN'T BENT!? WHO DOESN'T BEND THEIR BENDY STRAWS! THIS SCENE IS ENTIRELY UNBELIEVABLE!!!
cool, figured you had ref on the coffee cup, just hadn't seen that style before.
edit: i has joke! the straw is stiff like ME! i lie, im impotent.
