Sup guys,
I’ve lived here in San Francisco for the better part of 3 years now. Recently I’ve been looking for a new place in the city and have come to realize housing in this area has become pretty difficult over the past couple of years. It seems like now a day the most efficient and affordable way to do it is to find 2 or 3 roommates and then go in on a place with multiple rooms. So here’s what I want to do…
I’m looking for 2-3 other people that are interested or have some experience in doing games. I know school is coming up and there are plenty of students either in or coming into the area. Ideally I would like to find 3 people, each with some knowledge in a specific aspect of game development (Programmer, animator, modeler, ect..) It doesn’t have to necessarily be an extensive knowledge; ideally we could start out with some small projects and go from there. In the end I’m hoping we will have created a household of passionate people working together to create games or mods for existing games. I have found in my past experiences that teamwork is a major part of the game industry and often one of our weaker areas. I think this situation would be ideal for any fellow students out there who are looking for a team environment of likeminded people who have a passion for creating games. We could learn from each other, keep each other accountable, develop a lot of cool stuff, have a lot of fun, and someday take those teamwork skills with us to the industry. Who knows, maybe when one of us moves on there will be another passionate student waiting to take his place, and the household could continue to produce some cool stuff as well as the next generations of game developers.
I am hoping to find the right people and a place by August 1st. If you are interested send I an email telling me a little bit about yourself, what areas you have experience in, and why you think you would be a good addition to the household. I will be posting this on several of the major sites in hopes of generating enough interest to get this thing off the ground. Thanks for your time guys.

If it's the first one, then Polycount probably isn't the most suitable place. Most people tend to suggest Craigslist for when someone is looking for housemates and such. So give that a try if you haven't already, or make a notice with the little tear off tabs and stick them around on school bulletin boards. You're bound to find tonnes of students there.
If you're looking for game devs to work with, then you're posting in the wrong section, this should be posted in the Requests forum.

Good luck in your search and work hard. You should probably also hit up the schools in a month or so.
