Heading to a dude ranch near Jackson Hole for a week, my wife's parents are hosting everyone for their 50th anniversary.



Anyone know the area, and have some tips? We're heading to Yellowstone at some point, about a hour's drive. Also getting some rodeo in there. Can't wait.

sweet area! I'd recommend a ride on the tram to the top of jackson hole.

I've been through Jackson Hole and Yellowstone, but it was as a kid. Bring a Camera, but other than that, I don't know anything specific. The Grand Tetons are awesome, and I think they have one of those giant, uh, ski-lifty, people movier, uh, crap can't think of what they call em, but the thing that'll take you up top. Should be a good view.

Thats the Tram tumberboy. Yeah takes you up a mile and there is a little place to grab a snack or brew at the top.

GAH! I was GOING to say Gondola, but then I was like, "nah, there's no singing italians in stripes. . . that can't be it."

I've only been in the winter (every year) for skiing. Never in the summer.
Go to Bubba's in Jackson. BBQ place that is a famous local place. And the ski shop next door is the shit.
Stop on the highway by the Elk reserve on the way from the airport. Excellent way to waste 90 seconds.

And have dinner with Harrison Ford. And make him give you a helicopter ride! He lives on the way to Jackson Hole.

Paragliding looks like a blast, I'll have to mention it to my father-in-law. He's so bad with heights he literally has to grab onto something to stop himself from jumping. No kidding, it's scary.

Glad you had a good time. I couldn't think of a single thing to do in Wyoming except Buffalo Bill's Museum, but that's in Cody, and not really worth the trip IMO. Awesome views around Jackson Hole, though-- nice pics. Atticus is n awesome cat
