Although he is my favorite comedian of all time and a brilliant man, I'm not really sad. He seemed like he was getting more and more bitter as he got older and I know he had a lot of problems with his health due to abusing so much drugs/alcohol throughout his life. For him to last this long was a feat in itself, especially with all that pent up anger .
"....Bullshit I'm gettin old, and it's okay, because thanks to our fear of death in this country I won't have to die..............I'll pass away!...........or I'll expire like a magazine subscription, if it happens in the hospital they'll call it a terminal episode..."
Damn, never knew him as a comedian I do remember seeing him in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure and loved his performance. That makes me feel sad, especially after seeing the you tube link here, he was a really funny guy, rest in peace Mr. Carlin.
George is one of those greats that I'll miss and saddens me. I heard about it on the morning radio and my heart sank. I've listened to George since I was a kid and I've always loved his unique take on life. RIP George, you old fuck
Aw man, he was my first favorite comedian. I remember watching his HBO specials as a kid and feeling smug that I was the only one in the world who knew about him. I was in for a surprise!
Fortunately, he leaves behind a mountain of material for people to remember him by. It's not my place to say so, but I'm proud of George for doing his thing right up to the end. I'm also sure that he'd probably tell me that I knew where I could stick that pride. But he might then observe that, OK, maybe I didn't know where I could stick it. Maybe I was new? Maybe nobody had ever told me where I could stick it? Thoughtful guy, that guy.
I've always known George Carlin as Rufus from the Bill and Ted's movies long before I knew he was a comedian. Funny guy. Shame about his passing, but it happens to the best of us.

Sad week.
Everyone elses stuff was shit, and only George Carlin's Shit was stuff.
Bah I had to put my cat down too, making it a quad. As for Carlin, that really sucks, but I wonder who gets all of his shit!
R.I.P. George Carlin.
What can be more of a let down ?
He did undergo a serious surgery not too long ago...
RIP
