Keep in mind that I'm not an animator, but I've seen some of the Principles of Motion DVDs which seemed pretty good. http://www.pom.tv/ Also you should look up any books by Eadweard Muybridge, I don't think they will let you be an animator if you don't own at least one
Oh, looks like you already knew about the Muybridge book, I don't think it's out there for free or anything at least not legally, at $26.40 new and $13.60 used that's pretty cheap for an art reference book you may use whole career, just a thought...
Google has one of the Muybridge books as an online PDF, I don't have a link handy, but I just looked at it a few days ago...I plan on purchasing the whole set as soon as I can.
If you're serious about doing animation, you and a camera are all you really need for reference. Every studio that is serious about animation has a room with cameras where you can record yourself.
Tips for making great ref.
- If you're lifting something that is heavy, get something heavy don't fake it by trying to act, you might as well not record at that point.
- Break down the animation into poses, and make notes and drawings while you're watching it.
