Game companies and J1 visa works?

Hi guys.Long time no see in here.
I am currentlly in USA as Work and Travel student.
I will be here for all summer and I have J1 visa to work.

My wonder is:
Can I work for any Game company with my J1 visa?
I am currently in massachusetts area and I am willing to move everywhere.

Q: Is a J-1 Visa holder allowed to work?

A: A J-1 holder is allowed to work for the J-1 program sponsor. A J-1 holder may not work for another employer without special authorization.

Doesn't look like it. I'm not to sure how many companies would want to wrangle the US government trying to get someone. I would imagine that most would just go with another qualified candidate that is a local resident.

its hard but doable. i wasnt able to find work on my j1, i had to get a tn visa 5 years later
