Iowa Floods

I saw on tv today that there were some floods in des moines, iowa. Just wanted to see if anyone in there is doing ok.
I know Eq is in there, so just wanted to know if everything is allright.

yeah, we're fine. 8monkey had to move offices and the old one is completely trashed, but we had advance warning so we pulled all our stuff out of the old place well ahead of time. Neither EQ nor I or anyone else we know was living in the floodplain part of town... thanks for the concern, though. It's been a surreal week.

Flooding was really bad up here too (really close to iowa). Some surrounding towns are actually only accessible by boat, lots of homes lost. Madison and the area around work was largely unaffected by the rain.

i got really lucky. water was about 2 blocks from my house but my basement didn't get a drop. I am also really close to a floodgate and we are thankful that didn't break or overflow (which it did come about 4 feet from) otherwise we would have been, as the french say, fucked.

About an hour away from here, a lake retaining wall broke and the entire lake emptied.

Whoa, nice pics, EQ. I like how the first 2 images have a clear blue sky, full of calm and then this raging torrent of water at the bottom. Good to know you dudes are doing alright and aren't too affected by the flooding.
Oh, and tell Jack to go and film another season of Firefly already!
