So, lets see some of your work then. If you go to your:
\My Documents\My Spore Creations\Creatures directory and upload the PNG file, other people can simply drop said PNG into their own Creatures directory to check it out. The creature data is entirely encoded into each image.
How do you see one of these Creatures in your Spore Creature Creator? Right Click on the thumbnail image of the creature. Save the image to your desktop. Drag the saved image from your desktop into the Spore Creature Creator. Voila! The Creature is in your game. "
NEAT! I gues .png's can have snippets of non-image tags embedded in them, which the character generator can then recreate the creature from. Neat way to share creatures!
Very cool stuff. I can't wait for the game. Though for some reason the creature editor really doesn't interest me. I like seeing other people's stuff, but have no ambition to use it myself.

I've done a couple, but this is the only one thats really worth looking at. Not exactly exciting given you can create more or less any beastie you can imagine (with a few annoying limitations) but I think he's kinda neat nonetheless.
yeah, i had supressed thinking about this game for a year or more, and i'm glad i did. the editor is out and it's as wonderful as it should be, watching the creatures come to life makes me laugh every time
A couple I am working on. My video card is just barely up to the task, so I haven't seen them in all their smooth and shiny glory yet. I cannot wait until my new Mac comes in on Wednesday. Along with purchasing the full editor I will be very very happy.

PNG file format is cool. Makes me wonder why it took so long for internet explorer to support it properly. It's kinda like TIFF for the web!

i love the idea, they are a bit weird but cool nonetheless. I wonder how it'll work though.
'Tis all.
~350 creatures so far. mostly from the Maxis developers.
i think Spore's editor works the same way for buildings and vehicles when you get to those phases.

Can't wait, this looks like a pretty decent game, thanks for posting.
It's pretty fun already, even without the actual game, and very easy to use.
Like everything else they've done on this game, though, way to jump the gun guys! Now everyone can get bored with it over the next 3 months.

Jiggle jiggle.
here's a simple one:
texturing takes ages though, because it keeps loading all of the layers over again even if you only change one layer . (and my pc is slow)
