Hey I remember evillair used to come around here. I'm trying to get into q3 mapping and went looking for some texture packs to download, went to his site but saw that it was hacked:

I think I have most of his texture sets around somewhere, if you can't find any ask away.
Quake 3 mapping is a blast, best level editing I've experienced, simple enough to make maps fairly fast, but with an engine powerful enough to do plenty of stuff (just no normal maps, but that's ok).
I hope Quake Zero (or whatever it's called now) will alow custom maps, I'd make more maps then.

I didn't renew the domain name. The site is still on my server though.
I tried to get it going a few times but not a lot of people we're posting anymore so I just let the domain end.
Shame it died out like others, it'd be kool if polycount adapted the texturing challenges that went on there.
