TECHNICAL ARTIST

If you have either Film or Games pipeline experience, come work with a dynamic team and push the boundaries of next-gen capabilities! Now is your chance to work with one of the largest developers in the industry and work on some of the greatest franchises in video game history!
As a Technical Artist, you will be working with our Senior Technical Artist to develop tools to support our art pipeline using your strong knowledge of plug-in development with C++, Maya API, and Mel. Knowledge of shell-level scripting in a windows environment is a plus. The Technical Artist must be detail-oriented, documenting and debugging problems as they arise, and ensuring a smooth level building process.
Musts:
-Maya Mel scripting and C++ knowledge
-Extensive Maya experience
-Experience with developing tools to support art pipelines
Pluses:
-Unreal Engine experience and/or other game engine
-Maya API development with C++
-Knowledge of real-time shaders
-Experience working with external partners
-Experience with nextgen console platforms (PS2, PS3, Wii, Xbox 360)
-Distributed pipeline experience
Responsibilities:
-Proactively improves pipelines
-Write the tools and plug-ins that support the Maya/Unreal pipeline
-Work with the engineering and art teams to identify/fix performance bottlenecks
-Maintain and streamline production workflow with external development partners
-Ensure that the lighting system works across 2 teams and create tools to streamline the workflow, as well as debug lighting
-related issues
-Document the tools and train artists on tool usage
