Just a bit random, that's all. PDF. Hassle. PDF with a clickthrough gate, too much hassle. At least give us your elevator pitch of the idea so we can see if it peaks our interest enough..
No seriously...a brief pitch would do for now...so far it all sounds very generic...and plenty of resources spent on just on licenses if this thing ever went into development...
RCoRR (Radio Controlled Off-Road Racing) is a racing game based on the sport of racing Radio Controlled Vehicles. Featuring realistic driving physics, damage physics and real cars, trucks and boats* (i forgot to include buggies but they would b classed as cars no?)
Whilst progressing through career mode you will unlock special events which can only be entered with vehicles unlocked in career mode.
would it b better if i just pasted the document here or use a .doc??

i never thought of the licensing tbh =\... there are a few things id drop too like the customising the characters...id like to c that in a racing game so i included it but i think that it would be kind of pointless, might be why its not been done b4..
Custom characters have been done before. There's Kart Rider by nexon, there's zero gear (look in pimping and previews). I'm certain their is other games.
The reason custom characters are really almost never done for a racer is that you focus resources on what's actually visible on the screen the majority of the time. You wouldn't waste time and resources on custom characters that are never seen except for maybe for a fly through at the start.
For an RC game look into re-volt, that was really nice. As for damage modelling, you don't get nearly as much with RC cars. The "body" is just a plastic mold, most of the frames are plastic as well. From experience with crashing them, the most you'd normally get is a dent or two in the body.
licenses you could get rid of, you don't need to have exact copies of real cars.

Dude, EVERYONE has game ideas and everyone also believes that their game ideas are the most original, never-been-thought-of-before multi-billion sellers. If you really are serious about game design then learn a trade that is relevant to game design, get a job at a game company and work your way up to lead designer. Seriously, ideas are a dime a dozen, drive and execution are far more rare.
thanks everyone for your comments, i was not aware of the rc games out there, guess I should rethink my researching strategy...although now i think back i have played one on the ps2, i cant remember the name though @astrozombie: im not thinking of getting into game design but i just have ideas for games all the time and this seems to be the best ive had...but with this i read it n think yea, great but thats probably because it is my idea so im not properly looking at it as though somebody has just pitched this idea to me...
@ everyone asking what the usp is: by thinking that rc racing had never been done before i made that the unique part but now im gna have to rethink it and get back to you with a new pitch...
That second link rooster posted to really helps, i always have ideas for games but don't have enough skill or manpower to pull them off and no funding :P but your idea is simple and would not take along time to make good luck and just because someone else did it, does not mean you cant do it better
I remember talking with guys back in college who thought they could pitch and sell their 'design docs' to studios. Not to be rude of course, just a friendly eye opener. If that wasn't your intention, and you just wanted to share your idea, great!
Point5Zero - I think it could indeed be a fun game, but as others have pointed out there already have been many games of the same type.
At the moment you have more than a simple idea, and it's evolving into a concept. what you want to do now is to try and expand on your work by condensing some parts (custom avatars) and expanding others (the environments) to try and write a more coherent concept document for yourself.
At the minute the design is still a fairly generic racer, so how can you make it more unique?
A few things you might want to consider:
Radio controlled cars have go fast acceleration and braking, tight handling etc. How can you work those features into your concept?
What sort of environments would be fun? Indoor sports halls with tracks made from rope? Arenas with tracks like mini BMX courses? Freestyle/open on the streets, avoiding pedestrians and traffic?
omg you guys are such babies, why doesnt anyone want to take 5 seconds to download a pdf god you would think we were on dial up or something...jesus
Anyways I dont know how thrilling an rc racing game would be, the thing about rc racing is that it seems like its limited by being rc instead of just real cars. What besides me being an RC car enthusiast would make me want to play this game, over something like mario cart or need for speed? Just doesnt seem like the fan base is big enough, most people that race RC cars spend all that money for a reason, because they actually like to get out there and race them for real, not in a game.
You have something going here, but it needs more development to make it separate itself from other games.

I was thinking the same sort of thing...dont some people like racing RC cars cause they cant race the real thing(touring cars, sports cars etc) but in video games you can race with any car you like, just look at Race Driver Grid, so why would I race an RC car instead of the real thing?
I think Re-volt was on to something by making it really arcadey and fun they caught some of the essence of what makes RC cars cool, RC cars arent about being serious or realistic they are about crazy miniature fun.

what dyu mean by heh???

However, that is one IP that's been due for an update for some time now...boats would be neat

so what makes this idea different or special when compared with other games in the industry?
By amazing coincidence, Rare did the boat thing too

Maybe try www.gamedev.net for some design assistance?

not downloading a random file from a random host posted by a random person who is new to the community is not being a baby.
randomness is bad!
What more do we need to know outside of "R/C car racing game"?
R/C car racing game with mini-weapons...
Well you think Vista would have idiot proofed that well enough for us huh?
