I have started on the high poly but still in an early stage. I'll push the detail. I have to make the pattern more dense as well.

Very cool, the only thing I noticed was the grip might be too close to the gun due to the spikes near the grip. seems like it can be painful. I really light the colors as well.
Well one thing to keep in mind is that when you render out normals for this stuff, you'll lose the real parrallax of having the actual highres geometry there, which will flaten everything out more and it make it sort of just blend together as one large mass, well thats what i imagine atleast =P should be interesting to see how it looks, can you post a fpv shot?

Hey congrats on finishing man! If you had some more time you could push the texture a lot further. Oh well, you've gotten farther than most people so you should feel good about that even if you're not entirely happy with the result.
I think you copied your spec twice there instead of including the diffuse?

yeah i'm wondering if all those details will just blend in together and look like a huge mess. Only time will tell I suppose.
But its easily fixed.
I'll have this in mind when making the textures. If necessary, I can probably fix it with the photoshop filter. Hopefully not
