FPS Weapon - FAAP-AR - Rusty

FAAP-AR = pronounced Fapper, Frozen Ammunition Air Powered Assault Rifle.... I just like having fap in the name lol.

anyways. it draws air in through turbines located at the front that compress air into the holding tanks... the cooling process for the turbines freezes moisture from the air and molds it into ammunition.

not very feasible but i think it's fun... could provide for some cool animations and effects.

now... where i fail... taking the idea from head to paper... or rather digital. oh well heres the attempt. i have a much clearer idea in my head lol

i took parts from a bunch of stuff and kinda put it all together into something i liked...


did a quick 3d mockup to help flesh out the idea in first person ... i like it.



hmmmm.... need to add a power source somewhere i guess. and a flashlight me thinks

got concept started.... painstakingly slow lol. still plenty to add. some tubes for air and power and vents etc... the blue and orange are gonna be the theme. though they will just be from the lights that are on the gun.

it looks like a fish...



oh... that cross thing in the middle will be the power source.

I think your approach has produced quite a random feel to the gun.. Now I think the idea is quite cool, but my advice is to take another look at the design and see how someone making a gun like this would design it. The original silhouette looks pretty interesting tho

yeah thanks for pointing it out... after sleeping i'm not too happy with it. i'll work on integrating the parts tonight if i can find time.

still need tubes, bolts/rivets, and whatnot along with lighting. but i'm liking this better. not so fishy

I like the design, just not a fan of the color scheme, makes it look a bit like a nerf gun. The air turbine is cool, but looks a bit like a toy. Maybe this might give you some ideas.

that air turbine is tottaly unpractical it would be blowing hot hair right onto the user face make sure the gun makes sense before giving it those kind of details

why don't you just use one turbine? I think that would make the gun more interesting.
