A random stranger walks in. :poly128:
Hey guys I've been working on him since yesterday, plan on normal mapping him when I finish modeling. It's practice, shooting for "next-gen". ("current-gen"?)

For a barbarian, he's looking pretty lean at the moment. Check out the work of Frank Frazetta if you haven't already, since his work is pretty much the benchmark for barbarians.
Are you planning on sculpting him or is it all gonna be sub-d?
I've finished the base mesh now, next are his blades.
I will update as I progress with the sculpt.
What do you guys think so far?
I know these aren't very good high poly sculpts so you guys have little interest in them, but I've learned a lot creating them.
To be honest Zbrush and Mudbox sure look appealing now as Blender's sculpt tools are really hindering.
Next I will sculpt the sword and scabbard meshes.
