We are currently looking for a Contract 3D Artist/Animator to come aboard to work on a real-time interactive 3D demo application for the PS3. These demos are for R&D working on new functionality for the PS3. The position is a contract position and is currently slated for 4 months. However, there is a good chance it can be extended
beyond that.
You would be working just minutes from SoCal's world famous beaches on a sprawling tech campus using cutting edge hardware and software. The ideal candidate will be a Modeler/Texture Artist who can also animate.
They are seeking someone with the following skills:
- Minimum 3-4 yrs experience with Maya
- Ability to model and texture 3D assets with Maya
- Able to Create original animation, edit, customize, utilize and format Motion Capture data.
- Level, Collision and Object Geometry
What you would be doing:
- Build 3D assets
- Build real-time interactive character animations
- Create blend shapes for facial MoCap solver solution
- Create cinematics rendering of facial MoCap solution
- Provide artist feedback on client-side artist tools developed by group (such as stand-alone level editor)
- Work with engineers to refine content for developing 3D art pipelines
Please Note:
- This is a 4 month onsite contract position in San Diego.
- The hourly rate is $35-40/hr DOE. Time+1/2 for overtime.
