Just wanted to let everyone know about an upcoming event that will be happening on July 12th and 13th here in Dallas. A few things are still being worked out, but I think we are far enough along to show you some of what we have in store. Hopefully those of you in the area can make it to the workshop, and if we get enough polycounters maybe have a meetup as well:)

I'll be there again it was great seeing everyone last time. Hopefully I won't have to do an impromptu UE3 demo, like last time. heh I felt bad for everyone who looked like i was speaking way of their heads.

How about a BBQ on Sunday evening to wrap up the event for the speakers? Just let me know so I can plan the food, beer, etc.

I'll be there too. I applied for an apprenticeship at reelfx.. don't think I got it though they were running behind on all the applicants last month still haven't heard anything, but I'll be there.

Sorry to bump this with no new information. I was wondering if any of these lectures would be available online for people not based in the US? I would happily pay to download these either as movies or PDFs.

FAT_CAP, I think we will be attempting to video tape the demo from the speakers, but not sure what we will be doing with that past the event. I will talk with the others to see about possibly posting up the demo's for everyone, so I will let you know, thanks for the idea!

Dekard, bring a printout of your paypal reciept and bring it with you to the event. Hopefully we will have a list of names from paypal, but that is on Tony's end as I will be demoing and will not be at the door:) We should have the new site up soon, with more info to go along with it! Thanks guy's for checking this out, and hope to catch up with some of you there.

I know they were filming tonight, I'd love to purchase a reference copy of the presentations today, lots of gooooood info. I should of brought pencils/paper instead of my laptop, since there wasn't a place I could sit up close with power but was awesome none the less.

Yesterday sounded like a good time.

I did meet up with Scott (eXpendabLe) last night for dinner. Had a great time at Magic Time Machine. We were served by this lady dressed up as Lilo (Lilo & Stitch).

dekard- the documentry video o f the event is still being edited.
The videos of the presenters might not be relesed but i'm trying to work out a deal with the presenters.

The next workshop is turning out to be realllllllly awesome so keep a look out for the next event.

Ahh that's too bad, a copy of someone's notes would be awesome. I took my laptop back out to the car since there was no power near the front for us poor vision folks. Next time I'll know to bring pencil/paper.. Lots of good info, but need a photographic memory.
