Interesting concept, and a cool start. I really like the amp in the back there.
My critiques so far:
1. The reflection and texture on the platform is weird. I can't tell what material it is and the reflection just goes off in a weird direction.
2. The plat doesn't seem to match the original concept. The concept gives the plant a lot of character, while the model just looks like a few leaves on a stem.
i agree with BrodyB, but I believe that it is due to the fact that it's still a work in progress. i believe the plant is missing it's head if you go by the concept.
The plant's looking a heck of a lot better. Completely ironic that a plant has a plant pot on his head...
I actually think the room was better when it was opened up wider. A dance hall would be pretty open to accommodate for a crowd. And I don't fully understand what's going on with the microphone cord. Is he holding on to it?
the ants tied it's body and stems with the microphone cord , [look at those naughty ants] , and i will make the ants very naughty , swing the cord in the air and jump over it ... in the corner , another ant is setting on the near speaker and cleans her teeth with one of the plant's teeth and looking into the camera and laugh , chairs scattered all over the place , sand scattered around the plant's pot , lotza of dancing ants [couples] and other things ...
Hey man, I really like it! The only thing that I think could use some improvment are your ant characters. Mabey just playing with a rig would solve it, but they look too stiff at the moment especially the two on the right dancing. I like how you have the one on the base posed, but like I said the two dancing need to have a more natural pose as they should be loose since they are dancing there. Anyways, its a really cool idea and well executed. Congrats.
One thing i'm seeing right now is a lack of an Ambient Occlusion pass. It would really help to get rid of some of your "floating" thats happening in the shot. Examples where you have the most floating are: Ant on speaker, ant standing on stool, most of the plant.
