How do I show transparency in max? I have an alpha channel on my .tga but I can't seem to figure out how to show transparency in the viewport or even render it out. I am still seeing the image on a plane.
Make sure to copy your texture to the opacity slot, and under Bitmap Parameters under Mono Channel Output you set it to be Alpha. If you need it inverted in 3dsMax but your map is "correct" for the engine, go down to output and check on invert.
Theres a bug as well with that - you may need to setup the material properly before applying it to the model or you may not see the transparency in the viewport (eg adding the opacity map after its already applied to the model may not work).
