    Hi (I'm new here),

I liked your work but theres a few pointers I can give you that I have been told by people that do this for a living, I'm still at Uni myself and have attended loads of industry lectures in the past couple of months.

If you want to go in to gaming its all about specialising (if not ignore me), you have got some really nice looking characters and in your environments you have captured the sense of mood and lighting. Your texturing is ok too. You need to choose where you want to go!

I think you have too much work on show aswell, you don't need a massive amount to sell your skills, just your best work in your choosen field as I have heard stories of people getting work purely on 1 drawing or mod. Theres a chance of someone going to your site looking at hiring you wont bother with the second page. Annoying but true.

Lastly, I have been told this on loads of occasions. Its not about the software you can use. Doesn't matter if all you have used is Blender and the studios you look at use Max or Maya. They are looking for people who can be creative, they can teach you how to use a programme but they can't teach you how to think out side the box.

I don't know many great sites to help you with Max as I tend to talk to tutors or google what I need, sorry. Tutorialize is a good one though and covers alot of basics. I would say though its alot of trail and error. Try some adding a texture thats 16x16 pixels then try it at a higher one, 32x32 pixels. The rule of texturing is - if the character in the game isn't going to pay much attention to it or its far away use a smaller texture.

Sorry for rambling on, hope I have been some help.

    thanks for your posts,

actually in this short period i had in gaming industry i found that its a total different arena than the conventional 3d art, in conventional art you have to make it look good, in games you have to make it look good, with a limited pudget in polys and texture size, moreover alot of specifications so the model is exported right to the game engine.

anyway again thanks, still waiting if someone have other sources, especially regarding texturing issue which is a real pain.
