Saving Normal map in PS >> jagged lines

After saving a normal map in PS I get this:



It`s not the compression .jpg or .bmp - no difference. any ideas?

are you saving at a different resolution than you are viewing at?

kinda odd that it's like..striped.

Maybe check for any color profile automatically being applied?

windows 24bit bmp.
Xenobond: do you mean the ICC profile in PS? I left the box unchecked so as not to save it if I remember correctly but I maybe wrong. Do I need to save a profile? currently it says sRGB. Anyway I made a new map in Xnormal 2kx2k and rescaled it and now it seems to work fine. I did change the Color settings tho (shift+ctrl+K) to monitor rgb -sRGB it was something else before.
