So I really need help.
I'm trying to refine my game modeling skills, and i know there is a way to bake floating, unwrapped geometry's normals onto a low poly, unwrapped object.
For example. say i have a soldier with magazine holders on his vest, i model the magazine holders and the vest in zbrush, then i make a lowpoly. I want the lowpoly to have the normal map of the highpoly vest and magazine holders baked into it.
In other words, can i bake multiple objects into one lowpoly mesh?
I know it's kind of hard to explain typing, but if you can help me i'd owe you hah.

In some cases it helps to triangulate the model yourself, like if you have non-planar quads because the inner edge could either make it into a valley or a ridge...
Eric beat me to it with better information.
