Environment attempt: La Rotonda

Hi people! I am modeling Palladio's Villa Capra "La Rotonda". I'm pretty inexperienced with environments so I thought some feedback would help before going further. The red parts in the second picture are the parts which are floating geometry. Any comments and critiques are more than welcome:






Is it good practice to model from reference like this or should I always design the buildings that I model btw? Thanks for looking
