[MOD] Half-Life2 Short Stories

Half-Life 2: Short Stories is an episodic mod for Half-Life 2 focused on showing some different sides of the Half-Life Universe.

Human Error and Paradigm Decay are the two story arcs that we have on the go at the moment, each will span 3 episodes, each having around 45 minutes of gameplay. The two arcs differ greatly from each other in terms of story, and both have things that make them unique.


We are currently looking for a couple of mappers, At least one mapper would need to know how to handle singleplayer gameplay although in the case of Human Error a fairly large bulk of that is out of the way. Paradigm Decay however would require more knowledge of level design and the gameplay malarky to get the levels nearer finished.. All of the levels are at least at a stage where they are planned out.

With the second chapter of Human Error it has reached a state where the gameplay is solid enough to move onto texturing, lighting, adding props, and general prettying up. For this we would like to find someone to tart up the maps.

- Note that this person wouldn't necessarily have to know how to do singleplayer gameplay, entity work, etc, since most of that is already handled, however it would be a huge plus. Right now the two maps are on mostly on developer textures and have limited lighting.

As well as mappers we could do with one or two character modelers to get some of new player/enemy models done and dusted in a timely fashion. The characters needed already have concepts, and we're currently getting them model sheets for them all as well. Depending on the model, there is the possibility of decompiling and edit some of the original models to speed up the process a bit too.

The requirements of the models would be about 5,000-7,000 triangles and textures at 1024x1024. Setting them up to be rigged would be a big plus, as would knowledge of animating, but is not required.
