I'd guess around 4000 triangles, but it could be up to 2000 triangles more or less depending on the game. I'm pretty sure Unreal Tournament 3's weapons were up to 6000 tris. Bioshock's looked lower to me.
Well I can say for a fact(looking through the editor right now) that the weapons in UT3 are in the range of 4,500 to 12,000 triangles for the first person view versions of the weapons. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the weapons in COD 4 were in the area of 6000-8000 tri's.
