I went totally OCD on this wallpaper. Mashed it together from 3 or 4 different random wallpapers, then liked it so much I cleaned off my desktop and reskinned the icons I had left.
Works wonderfully with Aero but I wish I could also reskin every window to have the same coloured effect. Maximized apps also cancel the bar transparency (boooo).
To top it off, this greatly inspired the visual style I'm going to use for my next game. Crazy, eh? I thought I was wasting time on a silly wallpaper but it ended up being productive!
I had to resize this from 3840x1200 cause that would mess the thread up. It is really good to have that much screen real-estate but when it comes to finding good wallpapers that span both monitors it's nearly impossible, so i normally end up having two separate ones.
Does anyone use any of those mac-ish dock things for windows like rocket dock or stardock/object dock ?
Rick Stirling: May I ask how you got your dock to be 3d with reflection, but also completely transparent? I can't find the terminal commands to do so. Thanks.

Isn't it like that by default? I'm fairly sure I've not done anything to it. I'm running 10.5 in case you are on an earlier OS.
New not-really-a-rule rule for desktop threads: If you can, PLEASE POST THE PICTURE YOU USED TO MAKE YOUR WALLPAPERAND LINKS TO DESKTOP ADD-ONS. I see so many flippin' awesome desktops that I can't try out myself because I don't know where the image is or which software to install.
Adam is that the actual Futurama cast? I've seen all episodes but there is a good chunk of characters I don't remember from the show...
Can spot Bender but not the other main ones!
Do you have a bigger version of that?
WhiteEagle do you know the name of the artist on that wall?
well.
i use vista, and im one of the few that enjoy it. never had any problems with it whatsoever. i use vista64. i dont know. maybe vista has some bad rep but actually is pretty darn nice.
Oh boo-hoo, cry more. Its not as bad as the endless cycle of internet rumors says it is. Remember XP? The Memory Hogg, just Bling-Bling "iffects" on top of the awe-inspiring win-2000?
At least Vista added some functionality over XP in that it supports 64-bit.

Except for the 64-bit version of XP. I've been running it for a bit now, it rocks. I am comming from Vista x64, which isn't a bad OS, but for those of us who don't care for "bling" and want a barebones OS.. XP x64 is perfect.

What's wrong with 'bling-bling' anyway?
