A hot new contract opening just became available for a Texture Artist!
The position is in Santa Monica, CA and will be part of a team working on an Action/Adventure nextgen title. The contract position will be for 2 months and may last possibly longer. As a Texture Artist on this project you will be producing level textures for an upcoming AAA title.You will need to have a strong technical background in Photoshop. Solid knowledge base of the implications of texture use in-game, including shaders, lighting, and post FX. You will be working on highly detailed realistic environments (not props) that range from indoors to outdoors, with an emphasis on dynamic realism.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Very strong 2D/3D drawing and painting skills.
- Self-motivated, with a strong artistic vision that allows them to complete tasks without supervision.
- Willing to work on a full-time, temporary basis. (freelance)
- Performed as an artist with responsibility to develop textures on AAA titles for Playstation, Xbox, or PC.
- A more realistic artistic style is preferred. An ability to create game art for different genres - a strong background in drawing and painting realistically is a must.
- Experience with Maya and/or 3D Max
