It's neat, but for that price you could buy a 1080p projector instead of a 1024x768 projector shaped like r2-d2. granted your geek cred would go up more with the r2-d2 projector.
2900.. Considering it also has input for next gen consoles, svideo and laptops plus the memory card reader and its also an ipod dock and fully HD capable it doesn't seem as bad as I first would have guessed. I'd expect a lot of these functions in most home entertainment systems these days, but it all coming in an R2-D2 case is awesome!
The Millennium Falcon controller seems a bit awkward to use but the multi positioning projection is awesome. And I hope that theres options to turn the sound effects off. As much fun as they would be the first time, it might get annoying the 1500th time hah.
edit: HD inputs.. Screen size generally has nothing to do with whether something is HD. Sony's new organic plasma is only like 12 inches or something, but it's HD. And also by that I wouldn't really call anything projected as being very high quality. But I'm not up on my projectors.
Personally I'd rather spend that money on a much higher quality, normal 1080p digital projector... but for what it is (a fancy Star Wars licensed toy with a butt-load of bells and whistles), the price doesn't seem too unreasonable. A lot more than I'd be willing to pay, but then I'm not much of a SW fan.

Umm, 1024x768 isn't HD.

Yes it is.
It's a different aspect ratio than 720p, but its still considered "HD".
That said, I'm not even a big star wars fan, and I still want one.
I bought a pack of gum, it was HD...
At least, they should offer a pricier version with ahigher quality projector.
