has anyone used this thing? it's saving me like days worth of work. it's incredible!
all you have to do on your model is quickly put in all your uv seems in the app of your choice, import the mesh it into unfold3d, and the unwrap it gives you is not only practically flawless, but every single section has the same textel density and it rotates and packs the clusters neatly in a given area.
brilliant.

You can plot seams on both organic and mechanical objects and get good results every time.
UVlayout is great, although it could be nicer. After using it I was able to get Max's Pelt modifer to work better but it still not as good.
Modo make unwraping a breeze as well.
That said Max is pretty good in terms of unwrapping so when I use Max I just stick to that since I don't like switching between apps. With XSI I see a bigger advantage into switching apps since don't like how the unwrapping works there very much.

The only bonus features roadkill has are uvs deformation feedback and new unfold algorithm ( comparing to maya )
But he can't do horizontal/vertical unfold which is powerful and unfold selection only...
