hi all, nice community template
This is a character I'm currently working at right now in my free time.
Since this is one of my favorite actress I'm trying to make it as reall as possible by using many angle pictures, so hope you will take a bit of your time to post any mistakes you'll find wrong in the progress.

Looking at that last profile shot, I think you need to either fix her upper lip, push it slightly outwards at the top of it, to get that nice curve she has between her upper lip and the base of her nose. Also, I think her jaw needs to be fixed a little. Smoothing out the back of it to remove that very anglular look to it, maybe move it a tiny bit forward. And the space between her chin and lower lip needs to go in just a little bit. Perhaps her ear could do with a little more volume and definition, see how clearly you can see the shapes in her ear?
I think this is going to turn out to be a pretty nice piece of work though Keep it going mate!

@ pior - yes the nose was not mirrored,
peace

Finally grabbed her show and took a few angle screencaps, and made just a few small changes to match all the angles possible, also removed the symmetry, hope is better:
I think it quite match every ref I find so if there aren't any hard changes? then I think is time to go stage 2 by getting out the face details
thanks,

Since you are already intending to take this model to ZBrush, I'd recommend using the sculpting tools to really refine the forms and get the likeness down - it's easier and more intuitive than doing it in 3d app. I think at this point tracing your wireframe on top of photo is not going to brinig you any closer to getting the likeness down. Instead, you really need to carefully observe the shading and all of the emerging shapes in your reference to be able to replicate the forms correctly, and it would help if you have some reference with more contrast between light and shade to help you distinguish the planes of the face and define them on your model.
Good luck, and I look forward to see how it will turn out.
here is zbrush day 1

Heres the making of that other 3D render so you can compare your bald version with their one hehe.

here is latest progress
The corners of her eyes are not up that far, bring them down a bit and shape them a bit more, maybe bring the tear duct area (the bottom lid) up a bit... give it some curvature.
Lips look really good, keep up the good work
id say #2 , the hair in that might be hard but it has the most style and glamor to it.
I decided to remake the eyes completely to not be any other problems
looking forward if there is anything else to fix before moving on the hair
I think you got the likeness down to the iota. I say go with No. 1 (from the choices before) and start the hair.
Since so many people likes the number 2 style I decided to go with that..
still I need to give her a body and some decoration
people sugested to work a bit more on the eyes shape so I did
body and cloth is on the way, almost done with it
The one thing I see that stands out is the eyes in the references are wider whereas you made hers rounder. Just scale the eyes down on the upward axis a tad.
wow. I agree with the eye comments above. not to just chime in cause that's lame. but cause it really caught my attention too. I had barely glanced at the images.
but yes.. this looks really amazing.
hmm.. also I think you made her face slightly rounder too. but I don't know about that though.. could be makeup (on the references) or lighting.
I think the eyes look fine. She may just be squinting in the other refs.
I agree. She has a slightly sharper jaw line in the reference, but it might just be the front on perspective that makes it look weird.
I agree that her cheeks are slightly thinner in the ref, especially towards the back where the jawbone meets. And maybe it's just be but the ridge of her nose might be a bit flatter down it's length in the references, too?
here are some old progress pictures that was made a few months ago but I decided not to post them at that time
I'm going to remake a lot of changes since I learned a few new things
and here is the original picture, earing doesn't see at all but I will try to watch the dvd's and come with something very close
and the pictures with the body
crits are always welcome, thank you for watching

clee101 I'm not that good with explanation but I will make sure to prepare a tutorial regarding that
Now I hope that all the work you put into will hold up well under different angle. Things like eyeball reflections, eyelashes or even the main shape of the face - it would be annoying if these do not hold up under different angles (what I'm saying is, it would be a shame if technical issues spoiled a beautifully crafted work)
Good luck with the rest!
can you give us any cool facial poses
made the final changes and the smile
done smile
there are going to be two styles of hair cloth and expressions in the end
h a h a!
thank you for watching
