Ok, i searched the forums for this, because i remember someone talking about this earlier, and they said to turning off "threaded optimization" will fix the problem. How do I do that?
I have an Nvidia Geforce 8600. The problem is a weird twitching in the view port...

To do it, go to your NVidia Control Panel, make sure you're in the Advanced Settings mode, go to "Manage 3D settings" on the left under "3D Settings", then choose the "Program Settings" tab in the main panel, add maya.exe as a new program for overrides, then scroll down in the settings list and turn the "Threaded Optimisation" option to "Off".
That fixed it on one of my computers, but not another. Both had the same video card.
Also, now and then Maya 2008 will draw the persp viewport into my timeline/status bar, and even into the UV Texture Editor window. It's generally fairly horrible when it comes to viewport display.
What exactly is Threaded Optimisation anyway? Will i have to turn it back on in order to play my games? Or is that just something with 3d applications?
