Hey all,
I'm modeling a banyan tree, and well this applies to all trees, how do I do the leaves? It's for a game, so going for low poly count. This is my first real model, and I've always seen in games how the leaves seem to only exist on a single plane. My question is, how do I do the leaves? Is it a texture on a plane? What about the transparent parts?

you can download a really low poly tree for 3ds max and i suggest you open the .tga file in photoshop and see how the alpha channel is constructed.
or you can use a opacity layer and insert a grayscale image.
