The reason this character is lowish, 596 triangles, is because it started as an attachment for another character. Like a baby snatcher. I got carried away with it though and finished it

but this is very cool. With how nice the material looks, why go so terribly low with the polycount? The jagged outline and face mapped on a flat surface looks so 1990s dude.
I'm saying this because I see people generally do the same thing, go far lower with polycount than is necessary. I don't know why, it doesn't prove anything, just makes assets look worse.

perbot: I do it bc i hate skinning a highdetail model.. and they deform 90% of the time very ugly
ok in this case its a bit different bc it´s only a softbody
Oh yea I have a habit of not providing the info that I know about these bugs. They're occurring when I render in mental ray with ray tracing shadows. So the easy solution would be ...don't do that. But that's like the Dr saying ..well don't lift your arm. So I'm looking for a solution.
They're also not polygon related ..those aren't vertices they're stretching out from. They're just appearing. My NM contains no holes etc.

btw i like the face.. can´t find something ugly
Anyone know what might be causing the little flecks in the render? -Flecks example

BTW Nice work!
