Photoshop CS3 Problem

i am having a problem where all my brushes are pixelated. ive tried resting brush import replacing them, dont really know what else to do. would welcome some help on this one. thanks

Not trying to be a smart ass, but are you by chance using pencil, instead of the brush tool? You hold down the mouse button the the brush/pencil icon and drag it over the pop up menu to select the proper tool.

Shift-B should also acheive the same effect.

it's also possible you're running in Indexed Color mode. To check that go to the Image>Mode> menu and make sure the tick/check mark is next to RGB Color.

yeah, sorry i had noticed, shortly after the post, that i was on pencil and forgot that i had posted thanks for the prompt replies though.
