Helllo, figured i'd post this here rather then just randomly upon the IRC chan, so here it is, im fiddling with alot of stuff, heres some screen shots
this is what im working from, someones concept image, im going to half noodle in alot of the stuff...
im going to follow the DomWar guidelines when it comes down to final model(9K polys, 2048x2 textures)
...so tell me what ya think!
....as far as the left hand goes, im going to make a half deformed hand with lotsa bone on the heel of the hand, so he sorta uses it has a crusher rather then a hand, and the other is the butcher blade, along with one thats rusted and slightly deformed....
thanks guys! =D

The model seems like a decent start. Just polish it away
fuck..
As or the model, I'm not really understanding the reason for the loops being bunched in areas around the arm. Are you planning on sculpting this?
the dudes name is cole eastburn. and in my opinion earns tons of respect. he has an interesting story.
your loops still look all over the place. nothing seems to be defining anything. but to answer your question: if you are going to normal map this guy....the just sculpt them in.
Remember the fat blade-arms dude from 300? Good reference.
9k Polygons (18k triangles?) is an irrelevant number...if you get a solid model with a great texture - you win.
Your edge loops need to be cleaned up - anything that isn't defining the silhouette a bit can be removed (with the exception of deformation and animation loops.)
