It's interesting to see these less polished sketches of yours. I love how you seem to really just doodle and see what comes out of it, rather than trashing something because it's not going where you want. I really love the feeling of the first feeling, it really gives the impression of being painted with thick globs of paint
ferg: the first one was about two hours of dicking about, getting back into the flow of things as i set up my shit. i thought it might be fun to recycle the most current version of the image and branch the sketch off somewhere new each time. the second's base was the first flipped horizontally. the second, rotated for the third - watch the background to see how they've been spun. the color pallet is pretty boring at this point so i'll be introducing more color to it. the last two were during quick lunch break like sessions - so about an hour.
I really dig that workflow, I'll have to try it when I start sketching in ps again. Good way to speed up the sketch process, gives these pieces a shared mood/vibe, but doesn't really restrict you much.
It was a random doodle I made based off of some indie game I had never heard of called Puzz Dog. Was some sketch activity I saw on the tigsource boards.
For prosperity's sake, 'nother old one, i call you penis tank! To guard my sketchbook from evil:
Finally, my internet stopped being a prick and is loading images from dropbox again!
I've been wanting to see your updates for ages. Slick stuff, Cory. I remember those penis tanks, wasn't it something like a pre-dominance war contest between you and Josh? Only he didn't do anything.
More!
emil: yea, i was poking fun at some pissing drama that was happening around that time, josh didn't have anything to do with it, he was just along for the ride. i jokingly challenged him to a penis tank duel.
i had only gotten this far with the model. almost. i keep promising a friend i'll finish it up so we can get 3d prints of it, really need to get to that...
here are some pages i liked from one of my bar books, these are old, within the year, i think, but i figured i'd share them, hopefully get some actual sketchbook action from me up in here:
The tank is great. This completely blows my mind. I've sent the links on yer sketches of it to my friend at work (those were direct links to JPEGS). He opened them in front of the public - "women and childen" as he later called them. As soon as he saw this ART, he was so shocked and all the people around were also shocked. That's why he started nervously to find the X button with trembling hands to close the topic. And then he wrote me what a bast*r I am. I was laughing under the table after that. What a sweet setup.
Here is my own "bomb", made some time ago. Now it seems to me kinda wasted. I've sent it to my other friend. He immediately wrote me this message:
"WTF, you need to cover his stuff with something. I opened it and there were guys from our work nearby. They thought I was into ZOMBIE PORN. You've set me up)"
Ahhhhhh, nice! I hope you are planning on finishing this, it's funny creepy.
Also, recently I was made aware of the "penis tank" thread, and I know you've probably heard this a billion times, but thats some funny shit:)

dig the lighting on it.
queen of meats
I really like the coloring too. The contrast between desaturated tones, and the amped up saturation bits, makes the image eye catching
nice work
(edit: Minor suggestion for an action pose. It'd be great to see in 3/4 perspective.. adds depth and force behind the drawing. -Cheers)
man_o_mule: I scaled up her head, good call man
here's an older digital sketch to store here:
