For the beginning, all the technical informations :
- Laptop inspiron 1520
- Vista
- dsmax 8.0
Then, when I create a new material, thats strange he tiles as I never seen before.
Finally it give some bad render on the 3d model and take maybe only some pixel of my texture...
The other right materials was created on my old computer (on win Xp Pro)
For Vista, I don't have other choice, when I try to install my personnal XP pro license, It say "Don't detect any hard drives..."
Then thanks by advance, because I can't work my 3d now

Do you know which manipulation I can do on Vista for know this informations?
I have nothing else to do then...
Just install 3dsmax6.0, the material creation work nice.
Then create a cube with one material save the current scene.
But becarfull, create a cube with dsmax6 on vista is really hard, because viewport doesn't refresh correctly...
after that just reopen dsmax8 and merge the last scene for recup the material
But carefull for the second time, if You lauch dsmax8 when dsmax6 is open, the 2nd application crash and you can kill the process...
I can work now
(I don't know if I'm stupid sometimes, but I didn't create Vista, then...)

Then I tried the Vista window classic mode and it works correctly now... I don't to know why. Just it works.
Also I think I'll never understand why you call 3DSMax 'dsmax' hehe :P
The only thing I know is : Maya already starts to suck on the start of week...
