Unreal ED 3 heightmap question

I can't seem to get a heightmap to work. I have the terrain info laid out, and the terrain editor window open, and I've imported my heightmap, but then nothing happens. I made the heightmap in terragen and really want to get started on my level, if anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it, thanks.
