Painter Demo

Hi all,

has anyone tried Painter X demo? I just tried running it on Vista Home Premium. I get blue screened each time doesn't even load the app.

The only program thats done this to me since the upgrade . I've tried the compatibility settings and what not but no joy.

Well just to elaborate on Per's useful comment.

It looks like it might be an nvidia driver problem, I am running forceware drivers (latest from nvidia website) with a 8600 GS on vista 32 and it borks.

The demo works fine on Vista 64 with an Ati 2600 and XP with a Ati 1400 mobility.

If anyone else is using Vista with Nvidia drivers let me know if you have any joy.

I tried the demo and it works fine on xp. You might want to check the forum for Painter, and see if they have anything on this issue.

Vista = awesome.
