For Frank - I used Maya to make a base mesh and Zbrush to sculpt. I used the deco brush and the rake brush primarily. Standard brush for some large shapes.
For Suzy - Maya for the base, Mudbox for the sculpt + nvidia filter overlays.
I have to say that both the models look great, but they look like they were purposely made to look like they're fake. Like something out of Toy Story. I think its because of the normal maps for the bear and the specular map for the pig.
The fur on the bear stand out so much that it makes him look like he's been carved from soap stone or something and the pig is so damn shiny he looks plastic.
If that was the effect you were going for then they look great, but if you were going for a more realistic approach, then I'd have to say you need to soften the normals and the specular maps.
The bear looks really good, there's a great flow to the fur,, the pig looks nice too, but th bear stands out to me more, I can't wait wait to see what you do with it.
