I've had my mind set on a four eyed angel for along time, I guess this is my excuse to do it. I spent a whole week researching and thinking of how the anatomy would work for an angel. I found nothing, so I'm just going to go with what seems to work. So I made a mock up of a double clavicle, double scapula; skeletal system and try to work in the muscle anatomy.
I've spent most of the time on the wings I haven't thought on what the actual character will be, or the artifact.
I've thought of building its armor out of this UFO drone design I found. But I don't think I've stretched the idea as much as I can yet.

nice start.. I like the short wings look ur going for. Posting a few bird skeletal refs that should help you with wings if u dont hav it already :P. Were given to me when I was doing a winged character..
