Great shapes and pose. I like the silouette, but... just as a heads up:" No robots, metal constructs, magical golums, cyborgs, steam engines, steam equipment or anything with electronics." <--- from to rules of DWIII.
To me, this character kinda enters the cyborg type, try to keep the same feel of the character but put more primitive materials like leather, bandages, bamboo... anything less tech like.
Its just a Samurai Mask (Mempo) with more modern materials really.
Once his coolie hat is on it should look right.
Simple mechanics should be ok, gas mask ect. just no electronic stuff. I'll double check, as ive been reading over the rules over and over, but theres some gray areas Ive been tryin to get down too.
Oi, watch that thin line, the rules don't even alllow for steampunk tech. Can't get more 'untecchy' than steampunk so I think this wil definately cause problems.
I like the idea, but I'd think abut how to make it so that's it's not mechanical.
Rough metal, bolts, leather or intestines for tubing and bladders or leather as filtering device. That way you have the same concept, but on a safer ground.
Hey Cheshire I read into the theme the same way, so I took a similar approach as you. It is slightly confusing, but I think it should be ok to make your character's costume look scavenged from 1,000 year old junk metal. The shoulder pads work, the freshly manufactured helmet (?) and coiled tubing, not quite. Surprisingly desert eagles and gunpowder rifles are ok though...
Manufactured is sorta the word a friend and I have been discussing as the problem also. The paint plas has always been to be dirty anyways, and im going to beat it up some too i think.
The tubes however are staying, because if a breathing filter is more mechanic that a modern pistol then im going to lose my mind.
yeah sure, but fashion the tubes out of something like a hollowed out snake, or a bit of intestine...something natural and sturdy, and maybe a bit freaky :-)
the redesign is pretty good, there is no way that could get confused for scifi. nice work dude.
