Alcestis – Character modeler

Hello

I'm part of a team ( Zero Point Gameplay) that makes a fantasy game and our own engine for it for the fun of learning game development. We need two character modelers to join the team to create animated characters for the game and as it is a engine under development it is good if you also like the technical challenge of helping building up a good animation system and content pipeline. Might be a good project to join for game art students past its first year when you have the basic skill done and want to be part of a team project smile.gif. The development time for this project is set to one year and it will be released as free to download and play.

The tools supported by the engine right now is Maya 2008 but we will add support for 3dsMax 2008 to if anyone joins that use it. It's best if you are able to create a character all by your own (concept, model, uw map, texture and animate). If you are specialized in a area its fine but we need people that can animate smile.gif. With some luck we will get two persons that complement each others skills smile.gif.

Here are our main thread we use to look for people at the gamedev.net forum, you can read some more about the project and also look at pictures and movies from the current state of the game and from past projects.
