Finally got some time to post, hope you enjoy and good luck to all.

I was thinking about the artifact and the fact it could give power to anyone, for this reason I chose to give it to someone weak without it; in this case a young girl.

I want her to be a summoner.

Cool! Someone is doing a little girly concept like me! I like the ideas. I had an idea extremely similar to this back in college with a bear and a girl. I love the bottom left concept where it seems there is a bear essence emanating from the girl. And as for hair styles I like the bottom right. You could play off a horn-look to depict some evil in the piece (if thats where you wanna go with it) Nice work!

Chose to do the big bear.



Jackablade suggested "Gothic Lolita" Fashion which I was originally going to do, then changed my mind. I tried it on the right most version, not sure.

That doesn't quite have the traditional German children's clothing look to it that I envisioned.

I didn't do much research, It was just a lunchtime scribble. I'll have a proper go tonight after some googling.

Did some googling and a new version.

Got some time to finish modeling. The only thing I changed were the sleeves, they'll now be a metal arm/pauldron combination; there was a bit too much material.
I want to keep the manga/illustrative look so I'm going to try and hand draw all the normal maps.

Finished a good proportion of the normal map. I'm going to start the colour map now which I'll also use for the rest of the normal map.

Needs a proper spec map for the metal areas. Also a better vortex / black hole area for the bear.

Looking pretty good, Dmoz.

I think at the lightning is a little too dominating at this stage and is drawing too much attention away from the other elements. You might need to reduce the opacity or change the colour to one that doesn't draw the eye quite so much.
