Off topic: Question about online virus scanner
This is really nuts. I have AVG free installed on my workstation and I have it scheduled to run once a day. Along with that I run CCleaner, Ad-Aware 2007, and Spybot religiously and rarely catch spyware. AVG has caught one thing in the past, but that is it....always comes up clean after the scan. I run a few online scanners from time to time. Mainly the Windows one and sometimes Kapersky. Today I ran Trend Micro Housecall and it said it found 98!!! cases of Malware and/or Trojans and froze in IE. I was thinking to myself WTF. I closed out the Housecall after it just froze for about 15 minutes and ran all of my on disk protection again and nothing came up at all. Is Trend Micro just a scam planting some crap in their Housecall or should I be concerned? My workstation is functioning properly....but that scared the shit out of me. I even ran Kapersky online scanner after and nothing. Should I be worried? Any suggestions?
