Hello this is my first official post on PolyCount, and my starting thread for DWIII. I was recomended to your forums by some of my buddies that are participating as well. Im pretty excited about the contest this year and I hope to see it all the way through. So any how here are some rough drawings and silhouettes I came up with. She doesn't seem like much on the battle field untill she uses her gauntlet to summon a montress size demon to protect her.

Interesting...I'm kinda leaning towards #2...though I'm sure that you would need to pick one class though...I may be wrong, though.

cool thanks, ya it might be hard to do both characters. The girl is the main character, she is an invoker with a summoning artifact(a gauntlet), and the beast looking guy is the demon she summons.

hey man, both are looking great. Your beast is incredible. You should lean towards the horns on the back rather than that finned one(the small one). As for the girl I am liking #2, but 4 is also intriguing me. With some more work done on that one, it could be really cool, and unique.

Thanks Man, I am having a tough time between 2 and 4 as well, 2 says elegant and powerful as 4 says tarnished and battle worn but a little more sporty, Im currently reworking them both, will have an update soon.

update on invoker, and I have changed her from a summoner to more of a beast master, who uses their magic gauntlet with either the power of darkness or vegetation to control beasts. My hope is to also model a beast for her as well.

Ok so here is my color concept for the beast she will be using to fight along side of her in battle. And I tried an idea with armor, im kinda liking it and wanna try some variations. Please let me know what you guys think.

heres the start of my 3d mesh for the girl. haven't posted in a while so I wanted to post a quick update.

Some Zbrush on the girl, still fairly new to the program thought so there isn't a large amount of detail.

You could probably lower the polycount of your beast character a lot in the tail and in the Hands...I don't really think you need 3 lines on the side of each finger...you could probably cut that down to one..Same thing witht he tail.
