figure starting a new thread would be out of line. so. but. gonna see what i can do with the heart exposed guy. having a lot more fun messing with ideas for him. put in some blocking. crash cart
few quick thumbs to get the ball rolling. nothing i'm looking at too seriously here but. . . gonna keep the cloakish side parts. and the general shape is there. the big hands will have crooked branch fingers that run all the way up the forearm. need to work it out so he can walk crab like on his branch / vine legs. and also that they can twist together to form a kind of regular leg. lot of work to do. more drawings later
still need to do a lot of drawing to noodle out this guys armour and else but figured i had enough of a direction to start blocking in a base. once i get all the branches / vines / tentacles in place i'll go some retopo work to make it a single skin with all asymmetry and whatnot
hey. thanks guys. no pressure then with adding the armour to this guy ? finally got a chance to retopo him so. . . just updated the images above. no further work done on the sculpt apart from smoothing out some rough patches. still very early

The spin looks pretty interesting, unique, alien, etc. What comes to mind for me is I'm not sure how it moves. The legs are well defined, and then it ends up smooth in the torso. If it were a spider the limbs would be disappearing beneath the exoskeleton, but this is a fairly human torso, so I'm expecting a bit more muscle system showing.
That said it looks great to me Definitely go with whichever character is taking your interest, but this one has enough that it would be great to see finished.

this is still just roughing stuff in and blocking. got a lot of little bits and belts and ETC to add. once everything's there i'll do all the refining and finish the sculpt. might lose the goggles
Really cool piece Tacit math, I especially like how you implemented the misc engine parts into his flesh. Added this to my list of ones to keep an eye out on, so keep up the good work.
thanks guys. great respect for you all as artists so i really appreciate the comments. so much more to do and work on with this guy. not even scratching the surface with the amount of detail and refinement i'd need to get in to compete with the likes of gritton and spark. struggling for time. might just need to settle on finishing the high res
small update with a spinner. the tank on his thigh is just a stand in 'til i make the proper one. still a few more little bits to get in. maybe a hairDo. and his weapons. sculpt. refine. rinse. repeat

or a mutant troll with a giant heart and exposed veins and arteries and such. he'd have two massive blades which have a bit to do with his origin :
