Over the past millennium, digital technology has taken over and the old gods were forgotten. Ancient temples, however, weren't so lost. In the dark overgrowth of distant planets, lies catacombs and shrines built for heroes and gods. One such stirs again as it sheds the foliage that covers its body.
Inspired by the resurgence of the magics of the world, the gods imbue the beast with an ancient relic, able to summon denizens of illusion. The summoned creatures (because of being incorporeal) are undetected by the sensors of most technology. An ancient mass is stirring, a new era awaits. The time of robotics is coming to an end.
This is my first contest, but I think that I have a pretty solid idea.
An... Ancient Dire-Hippopotamus Warlord with Tonsils of Summoning

The largest, <font color="purple"> purple </font> organic-mass of mammal, just lying in a dense wood with its mouth held wide open. From it, mindless servants are spat forth from the behemoth's tonsils to do their master's bidding.
