i dig the flowy b&w u did earlier...the WIP color confuses me

cochtl--try working your color concept on a more neutral or dark base... you're weighing those colors against a white background which is really harsh, paticularly if you're trying to develop the rich color/material contrasts on dark skin.
that being said, i really like the style/ref sheet you've put together for yourself.

Sorry about that, hopefully this is a bit better. The guy will prolly turn out to be a clutter of color before I am done, but I want to keep with the colorful arican themes. It's going to be a fun romp trying to get so many browns and yellows to work together, not to mention all of the other color i have in mind.

Also, he'll be pretty flowy to boot
